We had some awesome pickleball again this week. They all got an A+ the past two weeks in PE for playing so well together.  Here are some highlights...

The 8th grade is playing some awesome Pickleball. I love how well they are playing together in mixed doubles and getting into it. This is a fun unit and I see some potential tennis players!! Hope you enjoy some of these pictures of them in action...

We are wrapping up Pickleball this week in Physical Education Class!! This is the upcoming sport! They now offer it in Radnor Township. We have played mixed doubles which means boys and girls are partners. Some feel weird at first but then get into a groove and don't really think about it after the first week. Yes, I am working on the middle school awkwardness!  It is great seeing them work together! They have played really well and I have seen much improvement. Please enjoy some photos below...

Can you believe December is this Friday! Wow the year is flying by. I have attached the December PE homework for your convenience. All lower grades have a hard copy but just in case they lose it on the way home or sometime during the month of December you can print out another copy. They are to do one exercise a day. I encourage them to do it with family members! If they forget or are too busy on day that is ok, they can always go back and do it later. They just can not move ahead. Please circle the day when completed. Hand in once we get back from our Christmas break in January!!!  Thanks and have fun. Stacy Marchese

 Look what we have been doing in PE class all week with the lower school.... HALLOWEEN OBSTACLE COURSE The kids have been working great this week with a partner going through the Halloween Obstacle Course. Who doesn't love a fort? That is our graveyard crawl. Some other stations are the ghost toss, pumpkin toss, zombie crawl, and spider squash to name a few. See you next week at the Halloween Parade!!

What have we been doing in Physical Education Class? We are in the middle of playing Soccer ! What a fun fall sport to play. The students are learning about teamwork and sportsmanship. How can they contribute to their team and be a positive player?! Are they passing the ball rather than shooting it all the time? Are they trying new positions?  At the end of every game they are shaking hands with their opponents to show good sportsmanship. We will soon have playoffs and a championship game along with a consolation game.  The students learn how a tournament works and that the top seeded team gets to play the lowest seed because they "earned" that right. The good news is that every team gets a shot at the championship game! I tell my students that every year a last place team upsets the first place team, so never give up!  I love seeing my classes come together as a team and have fun at the same time.  Here a a few pictures of them in action!!!
